CANDIDATE FORUMS
All across the country this fall, your local League of Women Voters will be conducting Candidate Forums.
Attend, and urge your fellow
citizens to atend, as well. Urge all sides of any race to show up for the forum, as well. Too many times, one side or the other is afraid to show up and face thier constituents.
Candidate Forums are invaluable ways to get involved with ensuring informed citizens go to the polls this November.
The League is always looking for more volunteers to help with these forums and for their other actions in support of Voting Rights.

Last summer, the BadAss Founding Four did an incredible presentation on our history at the Moorhead Public Library to a packed house. Everyone was filled with both inspiration and laughter, listening to the stories, espcially from Dina Butcher, who had us in stitches.

· GET OUT THE VOTE. Encourage everyone you know to vote, and to vote EARLY.
Find your people, locally. League of Women Voters, Documenters, Indivisible, and countless other grass roots groups would be grateful for your involvement. If you have fellow BadAss Grandmas in your city, get together over coffee. Being in community with others who share our beliefs is essential for actions as well as our mental health. You are not alone!

· Write letters to the editor. Do post card parties. Talk to your neighborss. Get involved with groups in your neighborhood that are getting out the vote and offering rides. Now is not the time to sit on the sidelines.

· Phone bank, door knock and work to elect the candidates who refelct your values. Although big money is powerful, it can not defeat us if we are on the streets, talking to our neighbors, and doing phone calls and post cards to get out the vote. Your local progreessive candidates need you RIGHT NOW. They will be grateful, provide training and help you learn what to do. Local unions will also likely be door knocking so there are many ways to get involved.
