Please join us in our fight to save our democracy, which is under grave assault. In the first two weeks of Trump's administration, he has flung executive orders out with abandon, creating havoc and confusion, while threatening anyone who dares disagree. This is not the way our democracy should operate - let's Un-RIG it!
· Find your people, locally. League of Women Voters, Documenters, Indivisible, and countless other grass roots groups would be grateful for your involvement. If you have fellow BadAss Grandmas in your city, get together over coffee. Being in community with others who share our beliefs is essential for actions as well as our mental health. You are not alone!
· Call your Senators and members of the House of Representatives. Put CONGRESS: 1-202-225-3121 in your phone contact list and commit to letting them know your concerns, regularly. Tell your story and that of your family. Use 5 Calls - easy way to find your member, and get great advice on what to say. Find them here: https://5calls.org/
· Letters to the Editor are a great tool. Although it can be scary to see your name in print about a controversial topic, it helps to make others feel not alone and can influence policy makers. If you need help writing one, contact us for assistance (lynpinnick@gmail.com).
· Go to their websites and sign up with your members of Congress to receive their updates and newsletters. Send them an email when you have concerns or appreciation; it helps to hold them accountable.
· Try not to panic. The administration’s plan is to overwhelm us and force us to comply in advance; to flood the courts, the news media and Congress with a blizzard of confusing and harsh directives. The result can send us into a panic, which paralyzes us. Meditate. Pray. Breathe. Journal.
· Action IS the antidote to despair. Find a food shelter or non-profit. Do good.
BadAss Grandmas is a non-partisan movement of people who remember better government before moneyed special interests overwhelmed the voices of citizens. Future generations deserve a government that works for all, not just the wealthy and powerful. How can you help? VOTE? Get involved with your community or just join us to LEARN.
We meet monthly to hear from speakers who share our vision and common goals of making our country serve all its people, not just the wealthy or the powerful.
At every meeting, at the conclusion of the speaker and our question-and-answer period, we invite members to share what is happening in their communities and solicit support from fellow BG4D's.
Join our movement. Help us protect and preserve our democracy for our grandchildren. You can also help support our movement by showing off your BadAss self; BadAss merchandise can be found at Shirts by Fargo. We wear our BadAss necklaces and also find pearls to be a nice touch to show off our inner BG4D.
Show you are a kindred spirit by wearing PEARLS whenever possible!

Your support and involvement at our meetings will help power our movement to save our Democracy for our grandchildren. We also hope you will support our movement and buy our merchandise, which supports our work (link below). Thank you.
Our beginnings were with the desire to ensure integrity in North Dakota government. Thanks to the founding BG4Ds, Measure #1 was passed a created an Ethics Commission in ND - proof that one person can make a difference as it started with Dina Butcher, then Ellen Chaffee and the rest is history (and you can google all about those days -
we got a bit famous).
It IS all about ethics; and that's exactly how BG4D began and how we continue - ethics in government and politics has been badly shaken by Big Money. We want government to work for all of us. Click here to hear more:

We are non-partisan and we are committed to doing everything on this list, including supporting ethical candidates, from any party. Let's get to work and save our democracy from Big Money. We urge politicians to stop putting Party over Country and focus on what the people need. COUNTRY over Party.
We meet virtually on the third Wednesday of each month, from 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm, CST.
